Ms. Prichason's 7th grade homeroom just returned from the Learning Experiences Center. The Learning Experience School is a school for "challenged students". If you recall, about a month ago (January, 2006) the LEC was vandalized and all their equipment, computers, and TVs were broken; videos and DVDs stolen, etc. Ms. Prichason's 7th grade class was horrified by this and took action. Over the past month the students collected all kinds of supplies, got TVs, DVDs, computers donated, etc. This morning the students loaded the supplies onto the bus and took it all down to South Miami to the Learning Experience Center. The students then schlepped everything off the bus, set it all up in the school and then created a relationship with the students. They played basketball together and we brought in pizza for everyone to have lunch together. What an unbelievable experience for our students! They feel so good - some even said that this "has changed my life".
